Workflow Task Management

Insights product has comprehensive workflow management process. Insights workflow has list of tasks which needs to run in sequence. Every tasks in workflow handle a very specific business functionality. Workflow system handles coordination between these tasks. Insights Product manages all workflow tasks through UI. This will provide flexibility to create, edit and delete different workflow tasks from UI.

Adding a new Workflow Task

Click on the "Add" icon on the top-right corner to create a new Workflow task.

Select the workflow type from the dropdown.
Fill the appropriate values in the mandatory fields.
Click on the "Save" icon to create a new Workflow task.

Description field can contain Alphanumeric and underscore characters only.
Descriptions should be unique to each workflow task.
Component class details can contain alphabetic and period characters only.
Dependency can contain only numeric characters.
MqChannel name can contain alphabetic, period and underscore characters

Edit Workflow task

Select a workflow task to be edited and click on the “Edit” icon.

Only the Description, Component class detail and Dependency can be edited.
Click on the “Save” icon to save the changes.

Delete Workflow Task

Select the workflow task to be deleted and click the “Delete” icon.

You cannot delete a task which is currently in the execution.
