 Steps For Setup

With the recommended below settings, maximum of 5 log backup files of 5 MB size each will be maintained


Step 1:

  • Update the below highlighted lines in log4j.properties file
log4j configuration

# Root logger option

log4j.rootLogger=ERROR, stdout, file 

# Redirect log messages to a log file, support file rolling.

log4j.appender.file=org.apache.log4j.RollingFileAppender

log4j.appender.file.File=${sys:INSIGHTS_HOME}logs/PlatformEngine/log4j.log

log4j.appender.file.MaxFileSize=5MB

log4j.appender.file.MaxBackupIndex=5

log4j.appender.file.layout=org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout

log4j.appender.file.layout.ConversionPattern=%d{yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss} %-5p %c{1}:%L - %m%n
